WATCH: "It Takes a Village": Glenullin Community Nominated for AIB Award

The act of selflessness by Glenullin GAA fans who cleared snow for their team's training, has been shortlisted for a national Gaelic Games honour

The community of Glenullin in Derry has been put forward for AIB's prestigious 'Moments of the Championship' award, which celebrates the inspiring acts of support, inclusion, and belonging that define Gaelic Games.

The nomination, aptly named "It takes a village," recognizes the dedication shown by local residents who turned up on a cold January night to manually clear snow from their football pitch. This spontaneous act of support ensured the Glenullin team could train effectively ahead of their All-Ireland Semi-Final match.

AIB launched the initiative to shine a light on these often unsung heroes - players, coaches, and supporters whose selflessness exemplifies the best of the sport.

How to Support the Glenullin Community: The public is encouraged to get involved and vote to ensure this moment of local dedication gets the recognition it deserves.

Voting is simple and can be done here via the AIB GAA’s official WhatsApp Channel: whatsapp.com
