The students of Gaelcholaiste Dhoire tell The Derry News what their favourite thing is about the school and what is so special about speaking Irish, and what type of job they wanted in the future and in what way would Irish help?

Is breá liom go bhfuil cairde nua agam ó áiteanna difriúla cosúil leis an Srath Báin. Is breá liom mo rang atá iontach múinte agus a oibríonn go maith le chéile- tá na múinteoirí go maith fosta.

I love that I have new friends from all different places like Strabane. I love my class who are well behaved and work well together- the teachers are good too.

Tá an Ghaeilge go maith mar is féidir linn dul go dtí áiteanna cosúil leis An Carn agus bíonn gach duine ag labhairt i nGaeilge. Thig linn páirt a ghlacadh in imeachtaí le chéile agus Gaeilge a úsáid.

Irish is good because we can go to places like An Carn and speak in Irish. We can take part in events together through Irish.

Tá an-suim agam sa cheol agus ba mhaith liom bheith i mo cheoltóir agus mé níos sine. Tá an cláirseach agus an fhidil agam agus tá an-suim agam sa cheol traidisiúnta Gaelach.

I am interested in music and would like to be a musician when I am older. I play the harp and the fiddle and I am very interested in Irish traditional music.
