Spirited Magee fall by a point after extra time championship battle in horrendous snow

Magee lost out by a single point this afternoon in the Universities' All-Ireland C championship.

The Derry college pitted their wits against the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland at a blizzard-like Celtic Park and, despite leading by a point at the break, Hugh McGrath's men were dragged into extra time with the Dubliners.

Goals from Stephen McCauley, Mickey McKinney, and Mark McClatchey snatched a draw for the Univesity of Ulster side at the full time whistle which saw the scoreboard read 3-6 to 1-12 but the Duncreggan Road outfit fell at the wrong side of a minimal margin after 80 minutes of play.
