Work begins on extension of Downhill rock barrier fence

Work has begun to extend the existing rock barrier fence at Seacoast Road in Downhill in Co Derry. The works. which began this week, will last for approximately three weeks. Motorists are being advised to expect delays A spokesperson for TransportNI said: “In order to ensure that materials and equipment are offloaded safely, it will be necessary to restrict traffic to a single lane for a distance of approximately 50 metres. “During these short periods temporary traffic control will be in operation and delays of a few minutes are possible. “Two way through traffic will be maintained at all times for the duration of the works.”
