Details have been revealed about tomorrow’s visit to Derry by former US President.

He will attend a private event in the Guildhall around 12 noon, before speaking to a crowd in the Guildhall Square.

During his speech he will pay tribute to the peace process efforts of former SDLP leader John Hume.

There will also be performances during the event from Derry’s own Phil Coulter and the University of Ulster choir.

Derry’s Mayor Martin Reilly said it would be a memorable day for the city.

“It’s a huge accolade for the city and a great opportunity for the public to share in this city celebration,” he said.

Motorists have been warned to expect some minor traffic disruption and delays during the city centre event.
