UP to 60 jobs at a private hospital in County Derry could be at risk, it has emerged.
The North West Independent Hospital in Ballykelly has confirmed that it has commenced a redundancy consultation process with its staff.
The number of staff to be made redundant is not clear at this stage however the independent hospital says that up to a third of its total workforce of 180 could be involved.
A spokesperson for the hospital blamed the proposed redundancies on the ‘cessation of NHS referrals to the hospital under the Waiting List Initiative’.
