Hundreds of people have tonight gathered around a controversial bonfire in the Bogside area of Derry. The bonfire was constructed on the Lecky Road in the early hours of this morning. The construction has caused significant traffic disruption along the busy thoroughfare all day. Unsuccessful efforts were made today to have the bonfire moved to a more suitable location.
