Derry Court
A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with making threats to kill, abusive use of an electronic network and assault causing actual bodily harm.
William Crerar Craig (40) of Market Street in Belfast was initially arrested on September 6 after police were called to the scene of an assault in a hotel in Portrush.
The injured party was said to be bleeding due to a head injury and Craig, his former partner, was identified as a suspect.
Craig was said to have jumped the injured party and punched and kicked him, a claim that was supported by a witness and CCTV.
At the time bail was granted on conditions including no contact with the injured party and he was not to enter Derry City.
The court then heard on September 21, Craig was again arrested after the same injured party reported that he had been receiving messages threatening to kill him and slit his throat.
It was said that the two had met up for an overnight stay in a hotel.
Bail was agreed by police on the same conditions as before with the addition of a curfew.
