Derry Magistrate's Court
A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with assault, disorderly behavior and attempted criminal damage after a domestic incident in a Derry hotel.
Nathan McGuigan (23) of Killyback Close in Omagh was charged after staff in the Ebrington Hotel reported a domestic assault on August 15 last year.
When police arrived, McGuigan was said to be sitting outside and tearful.
Staff told that he had initially attacked his girlfriend and, when they tried to intervene, he attacked the staff.
When interviewed by police he admitted to taking cocaine and said he had no memory of the assault.

Defence Barrister Stephen McNicholl said that McGuigan has had previous issues with substance abuse but had pleaded guilty to the incident.
He added that he has a 'relevant but very limited' record with a six year gap since his last offence.
He was sentenced to four months in custody, suspended for two years.
