Derry man charged with threatening behaviour and drugs offences

Kevin Barry O'Neill (39) of St Brecan's Park in Derry was charged with threatening to damage a house on November 18 last year as well as two charges of threatening of abusive behaviour on the same date.  O'Neill also faced a charge of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply again on the same date.

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on threatening behaviour charges.

Kevin Barry O'Neill (39) of St Brecan's Park in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrates' Court.

He was charged with threatening to damage a house on November 18 last year as well as two charges of threatening of abusive behaviour on the same date.

O'Neill also faced a charge of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply again on the same date.

It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

O'Neill said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on December 3 and released on bail.
