Police investigating following two incidents in Derry last night

It is believed that the two incidents are linked to an ongoing court case

Police in Derry responded to a report made at 6.15pm on Tuesday, November 4 that criminal damage had been caused to a home in Drumard Park in the city.

It was reported paint had been thrown at a property, and there was a gathering of people in the area. 

Approximately half an hour later, police received a report there was a gathering of people in the area of Moyola Drive. Officers also attended this area. 

Police carried out enquiries in both areas, where those who had gathered later dispersed. Officers maintained a presence in both areas throughout the evening to provide reassurance.

"Enquiries are ongoing," a PSNI spokesperson said.

It is believed that the two incidents are linked to an ongoing court case.
