15-year-old charged to court by police investigating 'sectarian-motivated hate crime' in Derry

Police investigating criminal damage caused to premises on Spencer Road in the Waterside area of Derry on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, have charged a male teenager to appear before Derry Youth Court on June 17 2025.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the offence of criminal damage and, as is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The incident was reported to police on May 22 and relates to graffiti on a building which is being treated as a sectarian-motivated hate crime.
