Netflix series Senna debuted on screens across Ireland over the weekend with local viewers spotting a very interesting location detail in episode one.
The series follows the short life story of Brazilian racing driver Ayrton Senna da Silva who spent time in England during the peak of his career.

For Derry viewers, it must have resembled more so a scene from Derry Girls as filming took place in their home city as the sign for Robert Street in a familiar area is visible in the scene where Senna and his wife get out of the car.

As the episode goes on it is clear that the scene was filmed in the Waterside area of the city overlooking the River Foyle.
Later in the episode the couple are pictured taking time out at Benone Strand with the historic Mussenden Temple in the background.
