28-year-old man charged following disturbance in the Sackville Street area of Derry

A 32-year-old woman arrested this morning is currently in police custody assisting with enquiries

A 28-year-old man has been charged following a disturbance at the Sackville Street area of Derry on Wednesday 8th May.

He has been charged with four counts of common assault, affray, disorderly behaviour, criminal damage and improper use of public communications network. He is due to appear at Derry Magistrates Court on Saturday 11th May.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested this morning, Friday 10th May, in relation to the incident, on suspicion of common assault, attempted criminal damage, disorderly behaviour and affray, and is currently in police custody assisting with enquiries.
