Traffic disruption expected in Limavady this evening as band parade gets underway

Delays are expected between 8.30pm and 11pm - motorists are asked to allow extra time for their journey and seek an alternative route where possible

Traffic delays are expected in Limavady this evening.

Road users are advised of potential traffic disruption in Limavady this evening, Friday, April 17 due to a planned band parade.

Some roads in and around the Co Derry town will be temporarily closed with traffic diversions in place between 8pm and 11pm.

The parade is due to commence in the Mill Place area at approximately 8.30pm.

It will proceed via Lower Main Street, Connell Street, Irish Green Street, Roemill Gardens, Roemill Road, Rathbrady Road, Massy Avenue, Protestant Street, Catherine Street, Linenhall Street, Main Street and back to Mill Place.

Officers will be present to manage traffic and public safety during this time – with the parade expected to finish at around 11pm.

To avoid potential delays, please allow extra time for your journey and seek an alternative route where possible.
