Police appeal for witnesses as man 'attacked by large group' in Dungiven

The injured party attended hospital for treatment to his injuries

The PSNI are appealing for information following the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Dungiven on Sunday evening, April 5.

Sergeant Broadley said: “We received a report at around 4pm on Monday, 6th April of a man who was attacked by a large group on Sunday in the Garvagh Road area.

“Officers spoke with the injured party, who attended hospital for treatment to his injuries.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information, including dash-cam, CCTV or other video footage, to contact us on the 101 number, quoting reference 187 of 06/04/26.

"You can also submit a report or information online using the non-emergency reporting form via psni.police.uk/makeareport, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org/."
