The death has taken place of Dorothy Hegarty (née McLaughlin). April 8, 2026, peacefully at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of the late Michael, loving mother of George (Jo), Caroline O'Hara (Dermot), Mary McGettigan (Hugh P), Billy(Janet), Margaret Hannigan (Paddy), Michael (Jennifer), Hugh (Lisa), Walter (Tara) and the late Geraldine and Patricia, a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. Loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle.

Dorothy will be reposing at her home 6, Oakfield Crescent on Thursday, April 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral leaving her home on Saturday, April 11, at 10:50 a.m. to St. Mary’s Church, Ballybrack, Moville for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
