A family fun day out, promising wrestling action and excitement, is taking place in County Derry later this month.

A Pro Wrestling Show, hosted by Titanic Wrestling, will take place in Eglinton Community Hall on Saturday, April 18.

It has been described as a "great day for the family" by Chloe Moran, a Pro Wrestler with the club.

"It's talent that Titanic have trained themselves. There will be so many different characters and different styles of matches," she said.

The show is very interactive, with wrestlers encouraging the audience to boo or cheer, allowing the audience and wrestlers to connect.

"We always say the louder the better," Chloe said.

The two-hour event promises to be "funny" and "shocking, featuring the best of local and national talent.

The first match gets underway at 3:30pm, and there will be opportunities to take photos with wrestlers during intermission.

Children in particular love the show, with the youngest member of Titanic Wrestling just two or three years old.

"Titanic prides itself on the fact that we are fully family-friendly," Chloe said.

"Anywhere from age five upwards really get into it.  You're closer to the ring than you would be in a wrestling show. You get surprised when they're coming out, and they're slapping hands and all that kind of stuff," she added.

There will be a merchandise stand and tuck shops at the event, with this year being the first that card and cash will be accepted.

Tickets, priced from £12 each, can be purchased through Titanic Wrestling's website or on Eventbrite.
