The case was heard in Coleraine this morning.

A Limavady man is due to go on trial next month accused of blackmailing a woman.

Jordan McKeever, of Glenview Drive, appeared before a preliminary enquiry at Limavady Magistrates' Court, sitting in Coleraine, this morning.

The 27 year-old is charged with making an unwarranted demand of money from a female with menaces between January 2 2023 and April 10 2024.

McKeever declined to give evidence or call witnesses during the short hearing.

Releasing McKeever on continuing bail, Judge King ordered the accused to return for trial at Antrim Crown Court on October 22.
