Limavady GPs host event to help women on menopause journey

Limavady GPs will be hosting an event to help raise awareness and provide information surrounding all things menopause on Wednesday 18 September.
The information evening will discuss a range of issues affecting women who are embarking on or currently navigating menopause such as pelvic and heart health, an overview of menopause, advice and treatments, and relationships. The talks will be led by professionals in these areas. 
Dr Sandra Mc Neill, a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology, will provide an informative talk on heart health and pelvic health specific to menopause. General Practitioner, Dr Brolly will give a General Practice perspective on menopause, including information on HRT. In addition to this, Counsellor Anandi Mahadeo will discuss relationship advice for anyone experiencing menopause. 
There will also be information stands focused on emotional and mental health provided by Aware, LIPS, Roe Valley Therapy Centre, HIVE Cancer Support and Limavady G.P. Multi-Disciplinary Teams. As well as this, there will be music and refreshments for all those in attendance. 
The event will take place at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre. Doors will open at 6.00pm with the event commencing at 6.30pm and speakers at 7pm sharp. 
Menopause can be a challenging journey for many women and so everyone is welcome to attend the free event and learn more about how to cope during this period. You can book your tickets for the evening here. A small amount of tickets will also be available at the venue.
