Donemana celebrate the win
Brigade took advantage of Donemana's game at home to Bready being pushed back by 24-hours as Andy Britton's side went top of the Long's SuperValu Section 1 table following their wide-margin win at Coleraine.
The Bannsiders had been on a poor run of results of late but looked in good shape here as they reduced their visitors to 87-6 early on.
Scott Macbeth with 33 fared best of the top order as Stephen Hutchinson (3-16) and Scott Campbell (3-36) were among the wickets, however Cameron Melly's aggressive 54 (3 fours, 3 sixes) was to change the tone of the contest.
That innings allowed Brigade to close on 177 and with runs looking hard to come by, the Bannsiders collapsed to 56 all out in reply.
Ryan Barr claimed figures of 4-30 with Macbeth weighing in with 2-3 and Andy Britton 2-12 as the Beechgrove side signalled their intent in the title race while Coleraine will be very thankful for their early points return as their form disappears completely.
Newbuildings are off to Cork this evening ahead of tomorrow's All Ireland T20 semi-final and their preparations were far from ideal as they were bowled out for just 71 by the bottom side.
Peat Salmon's 28 was much the best of it as Jamie Millar helped himself to 3-16 with Robbie Millar, Mark Averill and Lakshan Gamage all picking up two wickets each.
Robbie Millar's 21* was enough to secure these precious points for Eglinton although Salmon battled hard to take 3-14 for a strangely subdued visitors.
Graham Boyd with the cup
Game of the day was at the Bleachgreen where two other sides desperate for points - Ardmore and Strabane went toe-to-toe.
Half centuries for Aaron Gillespie (52) and Rhys Logue (51) as well as 42 from Ranitha and 23 from Ryan Gallagher helped the Red Caps to a competitive 219 all out batting first, with Dwivedi (4-11) and Junaid Ali (3-52) faring best with the ball.
The home side were in trouble early on as Ranitha (4-48) led the attack well, however a 111-run stand between Junaid (85) and Muhammad Edrees (72) got Ardmore in front.
When those two went the game was still in the balance but Vivek Sheoran with 24 steered his side home with just three wickets to spare.
Fox Lodge took a big step towards promotion with an 8-wicket success over Burndennett.
Niall McDonnell's 22 was best of the visitors' total of 94- Aaron Heywood with 5-40 and Jason Milligan (3-13) doing the bulk of the damage with the ball.
Once again it was Gayan Maneeshan starring with the bat for the Ballymagorry boys- his 58* taking him beyond 1000 runs for the season so far with Alistair Doherty adding 26 in a very comfortable win.
Killyclooney stunned St Johnston in a low scoring game at the Boathole; Matthew Orr's 22 the best of the home side's 65 all out batting first.
Timmy Dougherty took 3-12, Aron Visser 3-15 and Matthew Campbell 2-19 for 'Clooney, who despite losing 5 wickets of their own, had enough in hand.
Alfie Moan made 18* and Andrew Neil 17 with David Anthony and Michael Rankin claiming two wickets apiece as the Saints' promotion drive took a hit.
Ballyspallen also suffered defeat- the Roe Valley men beaten at home by Bonds Glen.
Batting first, Graham Kennedy made 44, Stuart Kennedy 25 and Isaac Bird 20 in a total of 163.
The end for Jordan Cochrane - bowled by Joe Robinson.
Divan Posthumus fared best of the bowlers with 3-19 although Dharm Singh, Mark Robinson and Samuel Haslett also picked up two wickets each.
Posthumus was on the money with the bat too - his 47*, 45 from Johnny Haslett, 22 from Stephen McGowan and 20 from Haslett Junior as the Bee Gees passed the target with 5 wickets in hand.

The hosts made 271-4 in their first innings with Moore making 60, Dean Mehaffey 59, Ollie Britton 50* and Joe Robinson 38 while Dean McCarter made 47 and Jordan Cochrane 31 for Fox Lodge as they were bowled out for 150 in reply - Robinson taking 4 wickets and Gary Neely 3 for Donemana.

Jordan McIntyre claimed 4 wickets for his side to give them some sort of chance, but despite McCarter making another 68 and Jonny Heywood 56 the reply closed on 199 all out.
