The top two in the Long's SuperValu Premiership Section 1 - Coleraine and Donemana - both maintained their winning league starts on Saturday as the domestic programme now prepares to make way for next week's Ireland v West Indies series.

The Bannsiders lead the way at the top on bonus points only following a 75-run win over Ardmore at Sandel Lodge in a game reduced to 30-overs a side.

A 106-run opening stand between Craig Averill (52) and Patrick Carson (48) set the standard for this one with David Cooke chipping in with 21 not out in the hosts' total of 191-6.

Muhammad Edrees was best with the ball for Ardmore as he returned figures of 2-35 and the same player topped the scoring charts in reply as well- his 25 and 22 from skipper Harry Zimmermann the best of the Bleachgreen men's 116-8.

Averill helped himself to 2-8 in another solid all-round effort while Ahmad Raza bagged 2-20 and Matthew Hutchinson 2-24 in a comfortable win.

Donemana had 6 wickets to spare over Strabane at the Holm; Aaron Gillespie top scoring on 73 (9 fours, 4 sixes), Ryan Gallagher adding 57 and Ranitha 30 as the Red Caps set a target of 196 in a 42-over contest.

Levi Dougherty (3-37), Anuj Jotin (3-44) and Gary McClintock (2-30) were best with the ball for the home side.

An 87 run stand between Gary McClintock (53- 5 fours, 4 sixes) and Raymond Curry (41) set Donemana on their way, before a quickfire unbroken half-century stand between William McClintock (40*- 1 four, 5 sixes) and Andy McBrine (25*) sealed a comfortable victory.

Eglinton recorded their first win of the campaign with a 57-run verdict at home to Bready.

Andy Lucas batted very well to make 60 as he kept the board ticking over for the top order while Lakshan Gamage did likewise at the back end of the innings. His 65 saw the villagers reach a respectable 180 from their 47 overs, with Ian Young (3-30), Nathan McCombe (2-21), Josh van Heerdon (2-29) and Gavin Roulston (2-44) best of Bready's bowlers.

Bready's batting hasn't been fully firing so far this season and it was to prove a similar story here, with skipper Young's 27 and 20 from David Rankin the highlight of their disappointing reply of 123.

Lakshan Gamage of Eglinton.

Andy Millar (3-9), Robbie Millar (3-41), and a couple of wickets apiece for Gamage and Richard Wylie sealed a timely win for the villagers.

Newbuildings are on the board as well; their first league victory of the season coming at Beechgrove no less as they beat Brigade by 41 runs.

The visitors total of 166 was completely dominated by Ross Dougherty who showed great composure to make 90 (7 fours, 2 sixes) with Jason Dunn's 17 the only other contribution of note.

Ryan Barr (2-27), Scott Macbeth (2-34) and Iftikhar Hussain (2-45) were among the wickets for Andy Britton's men, who were then unable to find anyone to play the anchor role that Dougherty had done earlier.

Barr top scored with 25 with 'Ifti' adding 24 but the bowlers stayed on top- Ross Hunter with 3-26 and Peat Salmon (2-19 from his 9 overs) as Brigade's reply closed short on 125.

In Section 2, Fox Lodge and Ballyspallen are also unbeaten with the Ballymagorry team currently holding top spot in the table courtesy of this being win number three.

The Foxes dismissed visitors Killyclooney for 125 here, with Giles Moan's 19 and 17 apiece from Kenzie Hall and Aron Visser the best of the batting.

Jason Milligan claimed the bowling honours with 4-18 while Aaron Heywood and Levi Kerr shared four more to keep 'Clooney well within reach.

Gayan Maneeshan hit an unbeaten 52 with Alistair Doherty adding 35 and Charlie Simpson 20 as Fox Lodge won with six wickets in hand.

Another good day for Craig Doc.

'Spallen had seven wickets in hand as they beat Burndennett at Bridge Park to make it two league wins from two starts.

Kyle Morrow hit 49, Isaac Bird 33 and Kagiso Rapulana 27* and although Derek Curry picked up 2-37, the home side easily chased down 'Dennett's total of 124.

Niall McDonnell (36) was best for the visitors with Conan Pollock and Safi chipping in with 23 and 20 respectively, but it was never enough.

Bird (3-34) along with Graham Kennedy and Pushpender Singh who picked up two wickets each, were best with the ball for the winners.

The final game saw Glendermott thump St Johnston by 8 wickets at the Rectory to claim a much needed win for the hosts.

David Anthony's 23 was the best of the Donegal men's disappointing 75 all out, a total that was all but 30 overs in the making.

Adam Boyd (3-10), Ben Mills (2-7), Trevor Britton (2-8) and Curtis Ross (2-18) did the damage with the ball, while Craig Doherty upped the tempo in the chase, hitting 6 fours and 5 sixes in an unbeaten 61 as Glendermott wasted little time in chasing those down.
