Derry’s Daniel Coyle makes it through to the final of the show jumping final in Paris.
Coyle’s error-free round at Versailles has allowed him and his horse, Legacy, into tomorrow’s final.
The Ardmore native has yet to make an error throughout his Olympic Games, and he will be hopeful this continues in the final as he chases a medal as he looks to build upon the six medals Team Ireland have already claimed.
The Mayor of Derry, Councillor Lilian Seenoi Barr, was quick to add her congratulations on X, formerly known as Twitter.
She said: “Derry's Daniel Coyle and Legacy make it safely through to tomorrow's final with
@TeamIreland
“Sending good luck your way Daniel.... we'll all be watching tomorrow with our fingers crossed.”
Should Coyle win a medal, he will be the second individual from County Derry to achieve this feat after Hannah Scott stormed to gold with Team Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the women's quadruple sculls.
