Children in Derry are in for a festive treat this year, as a number of local retailers have announced they will be giving away all 15 toys featured on this year’s coveted DreamToys list.
Following the official unveiling of the DreamToys list 2025, Toymaster at R Crawford, 18 – 22 Main Street, Maghera Co.; Toymaster at R A Cuddy, 13 – 15 Market Street, Magherafelt; Smyths, Lesley Retail Park, Strand Road and ToyTown, Lisnagelvin Retail Park, Lisnagelvin Road are running a dream giveaway for local children, with the chance to win all the toys from the list – giving Derry youngsters 15 extra reasons to be jolly this Christmas.
With this year’s selection of must-have toys, gadgets and games, the DreamToys list is the most authoritative prediction of what are expected to be the hottest new toys on the high street for the festive season. It is the only list selected by an independent panel of toy retailers and toy experts from small independents to large national chains.
Now, in a bid to spread some extra festive cheer, lucky children from across Derry will be given the chance to bag all the toys, just in time for Christmas.
To enter, children simply need to visit one of their local participating stores with a parent or guardian, before midnight on Wednesday 10 December, and scan the QR code in store to complete the online form. To be eligible, the lucky winner must be available to collect the 15 toys from the store they entered in, from Saturday, December 13 until Sunday, December 21.
Paul Reader, DreamToys Chairman at the Toy Retailers Association, which is hosting the competition, said: “This Christmas we wanted to spread seasonal cheer across Londonderry by giving local youngsters the chance to get their hands on the ultimate Christmas wish list.
“DreamToys is a joyful way to unwrap the magic of this time of year and remind families that getting out onto the high street to shop local is exciting, rewarding, and full of surprises – especially with a prize like this up for grabs!
“We’re excited to welcome local families into participating stores to make Christmas 2025 even more memorable for Derry youngsters as the festive countdown officially begins.”
