Elizabeth Callaghan (née McFadden), 34 Rathlin Gardens, Derry
It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Elizabeth Callaghan (née McFadden), March 9 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of Fergal, loving mother of Justin, Jacinta, Aaron and Corinna, a doting grandmother, a loving sister to all her brothers and sisters and a caring aunt to her nieces and nephews. Loved and will be sadly missed by her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Elizabeth will be reposing at her home, 34 Rathlin Gardens. Funeral leaving her home on Thursday, March 12 at 10:20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for her.
George Hazlet Hunt, Madelayne Court, Portstewart
The death has taken place of the late George Hazlet Hunt, Passed away peacefully on March 9 2026, at Madelayne Court, Portstewart. Much loved husband of the late Evelyn, devoted Father of the late Doreen, dear brother of May and the late Jim, Jackie, Winston, Alfred, Lawson, Kathleen, Mona and Ann. Also a loving Uncle. All welcome to call pay their respects to Hazlet at Browns Funeral Home on Wednesday evening at 6.00pm - 8.00pm. Funeral will leave Browns Funeral Home on Thursday at 1.30pm for service in Christ Church at 2.00pm followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. The death has occurred of John Keys, March 9 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of the late Rose, loving father of John, Kevin, Gregory, Deirdre and Raymond, father-in-law of Sarah, Joe and Deborah, a devoted grandfather, great-grandfather and dear brother of the late Gerard, Maxi, Paddy and Nuala. His remains will be reposing in his home, 24 Rosemount Avenue. Funeral from there on Thursday at 11o'clock for 11.30am Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. John will be reposing at his partner Bernie's home, 4 Eskaheen View. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 1.00pm to City Cemetery for interment at 1.30pm. Deeply regretted and will be missed by all his family and friends and everyone that knew him. Peace Perfect Peace.
