27-year-old Matthew Wilson enters guilty pleas at Derry Crown Court to possession and supply charges

A man will be sentenced in January after he pleaded guilty to a series of drug charges at Derry Crown Court.

Matthew Wilson (27) of Deerpark Road in Newtownstewart faced charges of possessing class B and class C drugs on April 8 2022.

He was also charged with offering to supply Class B drugs on a date between February 9 and April 8 2022.

When the charges were put to him Wilson pleaded guilty to all the charges.

Defence counsel Stephen Mooney said that the defendant had a 'very relevant record' and was not long released from a period in prison.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and Wilson will be sentenced on January 20.
