A 30-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man await a Public Prosecution Service review ahead of their November 25 hearing.

Two people have been charged with drug-related offences following their arrests yesterday, Monday, November 2, in the city centre area of Derry.

The charges follow a planned search by City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team during which suspected drugs and related paraphernalia was seized.

A 30-year-old woman has been charged with the offence of Possession of a Class B controlled drug, while a man, aged 31 years old, has been charged with the same offence in addition to the offence of Possession of a Class A controlled drug.

They are both scheduled to appear before Derry Magistrate’s Court on November 25.

As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
