A late free from Tómas Ó'Ciaran saved St Gall's as they defeated Swatragh in today's Ulster intermediate hurling semi-final at Owenbeg. A 62nd minute Fintan McGurk goal looked to have won the game for Danny McGrellis' side until he Ó'Ciaran's late free forced extra-time. The Davitts trailed 1-11 to 0-7 at half-time. In a storming third quarter, holding St Gall's scoreless, they looked to have weathered the storm. With 10 minutes to play substitute Seamus McFerran, with his first touch, setup Eoghan O'Kane for a goal that levelled the game at 2-13 each. In extra time it was point for point until CJ McGourty hit a third goal to put the Milltown men into the final against Keady.
