General Election 2024: Sinn Fein's Kathleen McGurk reflects on narrow East Derry loss

Sinn Fein's Kathleen McGurk almost made history as she came 179 votes short of winning the East Derry seat. 

She would have been the first nationalist to ever hold the seat had she won it. 

Kathleen McGurk reflected on the defeat positively despite coming so close to making history.

Gregory Campbell retains the seat he has held since 2001.
