Rosemount 2
Brandywell Harps 3
Raymond Rogan's brilliant second half free kick sent Brandywell Harps into this year's Gilfillan Cup final at the expense of Rosemount.
In an entertaining semi-final at Prehen, Brandywell took the lead when Matt Harkin beat Rosemount goalkeeper Lee Wade to the ball to head into an empty net.
Rosemount equalised in bizarre circumstances when Aaron Rogan's corner hit the post and ricocheted into the net off a Brandywell defender.
The holders then took the lead right on the strike of half time when Mo McElhinney curled a superb effort into the top corner moments after Ciaran Deeney had hit the bar.
Brandywell were the better team in the second half however and they equalised when Blaine McDaid scored from the penalty spot.
It was then left to Rogan to supply the magic touch when he found the top corner from 20 yards. Rosemount's day then got worse when Aaron Rogan was sent off after a second caution.
Brandywell Harps will now meet Creggan Swifts in this year's Gilfillan Cup final, which will take place on December 26.
