Local business backs hurling in South Derry

A local connection is at the heart of a new partnership between Belfast-based life sciences company ARC and St Finbarr’s Hurling Club in South Derry.
ARC is supporting the club as part of its wider commitment to local communities and grassroots sport, recognising the important role clubs such as St Finbarr’s play in providing young people with opportunities to participate, develop and compete.
The partnership has particular significance for ARC Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Seamus Kearney, whose local club is St Finbarr’s.
Mr Kearney said, “While ARC works with companies around the world, our roots remain firmly connected to Northern Ireland and the communities that have supported us. St Finbarr’s is my local club, so it means a great deal to be able to support a club that has played such an important role in the local community.
Local clubs are about much more than what happens on the pitch. They bring generations together, provide young people with opportunities to develop and be part of a team, and depend on the commitment of players, coaches, volunteers and families.
We are pleased to play a small part in supporting the work of St Finbarr’s and wish everyone involved with the club every success for the season ahead.”
Headquartered in Belfast, ARC is a growing Northern Ireland life sciences company specialising in precision medicine. The company provides clinical research, laboratory and technology services internationally, supporting the development of new medicines and treatments.
The partnership with St Finbarr’s reflects ARC’s commitment to maintaining strong links with the communities connected to its people as the company continues to grow its international presence.
