Derry to face Meath in next round of the Senior Football Championship

CCCC to confirm throw-in times for pivotal Celtic Park battle as details emerge.
Derry GAA will welcome Meath to Find Insurance Celtic Park for a high-stakes, "last-chance saloon" knockout fixture following the official All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Round 2B draw conducted this morning.
The defining fixture is scheduled to take place over the weekend of June 13–14 2026, with Derry securing crucial home advantage for the tie.
The Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) will officially confirm the exact throw-in time and ticketing details in the coming days.
Both sides enter the sudden-death fixture seeking redemption after disappointing opening-round performances in the championship's group tier.
Derry dropped into the Round 2B bracket following a hard-fought 1-13 to 1-18 defeat against provincial rivals Armagh.
Meanwhile, Meath fell into the losers' section after letting an eight-point half-time cushion slip away, ultimately losing out to Cork on a scoreline of 0-30 to 1-24.
The upcoming battle sets up a fascinating, immediate rematch of the teams' Allianz National Football League Division 2 opening-round clash from January 2026.
On that occasion, Meath narrowly edged out the Oakleafers by 0-19 to 1-13 in a wet encounter at Croke Park. Derry will look to exploit their home territory to reverse that result and keep their championship ambitions alive.
