Derry's very own country star Abbie Mac has announced the release of her latest single 'Whiskey'.

Abbie has been making strides in the country scene recently, with her covers of famous country musicians such as Brooks & Dunn, Luke Combs, and Zach Bryan garnering millions of streams on Spotify and SoundCloud.

Abbie's new song 'Whiskey' is the lead single from her debut EP 'Take Me to Nashville' and will be available on all streaming platforms on Friday 1 November.

The song proved to be a fan favourite during the Derry star's summer tour which included standout performances at the renowned C2C Festival in London, supporting Morgan Wallen at Hyde Park, and rocking the stage at Belfast’s Belsonic Festival with The Tumbling Paddies. Abbie also supported Lyndsay Ell in London.

Abbie said: "I wanted to write a song that captures the tumultuous ups and downs of some relationships. It’s about that magnetic pull that keeps bringing you back to someone, even when everyone else can see things aren’t right."
