The Chair of the Council, Councillor Eugene McConnell is looking forward to the return of the popular Halloween events this year in Mid Ulster.
Residents in Mid Ulster can look forward to a truly hair-raising Halloween this October.
Organised by Mid Ulster District Council, a series of spooktacular Halloween events and fireworks displays will take place at the end of October.
First up is the Dungannon event on Friday, October 25 with activities taking place at Market Square from 6.30pm with the fireworks display firing from Hill of the O’Neill at 7.45pm.
The event at Mid Ulster Sports Arena, Cookstown will take place the following evening, Saturday, October 26 from 5pm with the fireworks display at 8pm.
It’s the turn of Coalisland and Maghera on Thursday, October 31. In Coalisland, like last year, amusements will be at the Parochial Centre from 6pm – 8pm with the fireworks display firing from Na Fianna G.F.C. at 8.45pm.
The Halloween Hooley event will take place at Maghera Leisure Centre from 4pm to 7pm with the fireworks display taking place at St Patrick’s College Playing Fields at 7.30pm (gates open at 7pm).

“These popular events are a wonderful opportunity for families, friends, and neighbours to come together, celebrate safely, and enjoy the spirit of the season. From spooky arts and crafts, to scary amusements and of course our spooktacular fireworks displays, there’s something for everyone. I encourage all residents to take part, have fun, and make lasting memories in the heart of our vibrant community. Let’s make this Halloween one to remember!"
All events are free, and no booking is necessary.
