Following a very successful year, Lavengro, the vibrant boy band hailing from Derry, have announced their debut National Tour ‘Straight Outta Derry’.
Taking in venues across Cork, Galway, Limerick, Dublin and their hometown city, the tour will showcase Lavengro’s energetic performances and a sound that appeals to a wide audience.
Lavengro, are Gareth Borrow (Lead vocals), twins Dave (Guitar) & James Healy (Drums) and Jordan Edgar (Bass) who grew up together in Derry.
With their highly energetic live performances and catchy pop sound the band have caught the attention of a growing legion of fans and have an epic 2024 planned.
The Derry guys have a dream of breaking out of the streets and on to the stage and have been gathering significant radio and press support recently with a string of catchy singles and shows that showcase their infectious melodic pop songs ... all based on real life experiences.
And on top of touring with Irish giant ‘Gavin James’ and pop star ‘Lea Heart’ they have also been selling out multiple hometown shows and recording their debut EP.
Having had an amazing response performing sold out shows in their hometown, as well as headlining festivals across Ireland, Canada and Europe this summer Lavengro said about the tour: “We are buzzing to perform our debut headline tour in Ireland.
"We spent years messing about with instruments and singing in our bedrooms as a hobby, and now we get to play our own music in front of audiences on our own stage in our own Country.”
Additionally, Lavengro have just released their third single this year, 'Lost in Heaven'.
Following their earlier 2024 releases, 'Lie' and 'Stuck in My Head', the band received extensive airplay, and with a phenomenal increase in their online streams, these successes have catapulted Lavengro to one of the top five most played Irish Artists in the country.
Like 5SOS and The Vamps before them, Lavengro’s versatile sound, that blends catchy melodies and upbeat anthems with elements of pop rock & indie continues with 'Lost in Heaven'.
The song captures the essence of a hypnotic youthful and passionate relationship, akin to experiencing 'Heaven' on Earth and evokes an overwhelming sense of love and connection which will resonate with young pop fans everywhere.
Lead singer Gareth Borrows said: "This song is about having that ultimate fantasy in your head about being with someone you really want. It’s about visualising what it would feel like being with them, and wondering if somehow they feel the same way.”
Tour dates are as follows: October 17th, Cyprus Avenue, Cork; October 18th, Roisin Dubh, Galway; October 19th, Dolans, Limerick; October 26th, Nerve Centre, Derry; November 2nd, Whelan’s, Dublin.
