WATCH LIVE: Storm Jocelyn tracker as vicious Atlantic weather hits Ireland
Storm Jocelyn is bearing down on Ireland at the rate of knots just a day after Storm Isha battered the country with heavy rain and strong winds.
Jocelyn is the tenth named storm of the season and the second major storm to hit Ireland in 2024.
The Met Office has issued a further status yellow wind warning for Derry as 'Storm Jocelyn' approaches.
The weather warning, which is valid from 4pm on Tuesday until 1pm on Wednesday, could lead to possible disruption to travel and utilities.
A spell of strengthening west or southwesterly winds is expected to affect Northern Ireland from Tuesday evening. Winds are widely expected to gust to 55-65 mph, with a few exposed locations possibly seeing in excess of 70 mph.
Following the impacts caused by Storm Isha resilience is expected to be lower and it may also hamper any ongoing recovery and repair efforts.
