Shock defeat ends Derry City Reserves' Ulster Senior title hopes

Derry City Reserves’ hopes of winning to the Four Lanterns Ulster League title have been dashed following a shock defeat by Bonagee United. As a result, Cockhill Celtic (pictured), managed by former Derry City striker Donal O’Brien, are the champions for the third year in a row. Derry City Reserves, who started the day still in with a chance of the title, lost 2-0 to Bonagee at Dry Arch Park while Swilly Rovers beat great rivals Letterkenny Rovers 2-1 in Ramelton. This means that Cockhill cannot be caught and win the title with a couple of games to spare.
