Last week's game against Harland and Wolff Welders may have been a night to forget for most connected with Limavady United, but it was a memorable game for captain Hugh Carlin, who made his 150th appearance for the club. Hugh made his debut on 12th August 2006 against Portadown in a CIS League Cup tie. He only made one appearance as substitute that season, before leaving the club. He re-joined in January 2014, making a second debut on 18th January 2014 against Coagh United, and made 9 appearances that season, 33 in 2014-2015, 36 in 2015-2016, 40 in 2016-2017, 18 (and two substitutions) in 2017-2018, and 9 with one substitute appearance this season. Hugh has captained the side on 137 occasions, the first being a defeat away to Sport and Leisure Swifts in August 2014. During his time at United, Hugh has been capped as a Junior International, and has won the North West Senior Cup in 2015-2016, Intermediate Cup in 2016-2017, Championship Two (2015-2016), Premier Intermediate League (2016-2017), and the Craig Memorial Cup three times in 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17.
