GAA: Claudy and Draperstown setup an all-Derry final in the Pat King Cup

The Pat King Cup Final (Year 12 football) is going to be an all-Derry clash after St Colm's Draperstown saw off Moville Community College in Wednesday's semi-final at Owenbeg. It followed Tuesday's other semi-final where St Patrick's and St Brigid's Claudy were 3-13 to 4-4 winners over St Aidan's of Cootehill. Goals from Niall McGonagle and Tiernan Feeney saw Claudy past the Cavan side at Garvaghy. Claudy beat La Salle and St Patrick's Dungiven in the group stages, but lost to fellow finalists St Colm's Draperstown. After a play-off win over Sacred Heart of Omagh, Brian Rainey's charges beat Ballybay Community College in the quarter final. Gerry Brown Cup The Derry theme continued in the Gerry Brown Cup (Year 10 football) as St Conor's Kilrea/Clady were 6-4 to 1-10 semi-final winners over Dean Maguirc Carrickmore. They will now face Colaiste Magh Ene of Bundoran in the final on Tuesday, December 11 in Celtic Park at 12noon.

The vital score was a late penalty from Oisin Casey that put St Conor's two points ahead, after Carrickmore had missed from the spot

St Conor's pushed on with goals from Segdae Melaugh and Ciaran McAleese to give the final scoreline a more comfortable look.

The newly formed school - an amalgamation of St Mary's Clady and St Paul's Kilrea - trailed 1-7 to 1-2 at the break.

But goals from John Paul Hasson and Oisin Casey pulled them back into the mix before Casey turned the game from the spot.
