A Dungiven father and daughter duo came home as champions from the recent World Open Kickboxing championships on Orlando, Florida. Christopher Dunne won fought in and won his over 35 advanced light contact section and was placed second in his advanced points sections. His daughter Caitlin fought and won her U15 advanced points section. At 15 years-old, she moved up a section to the U17 advanced points and was again victorious. Caitlin wa also placed second in U15 light contact as well, had some tough fights on the day but fought like a champion. Christopher and Caitlin both came back world champions, but aren’t resting on their laurels. The duo, who fight for Limavady based Titan’s Kickboxing Cub, will be bidding for more success in October when they fly to Austria to take part in the WKU World Championships.
