Red Bull Junior Driver, Fionn McLaughlin
Fionn McLaughlin, the 17-year-old rising star from County Derry and Red Bull Junior Driver, will take on his biggest stage yet this weekend – with both of his British Formula 4 races broadcast live on Sky Sports as part of the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2025 coverage.
For the first time in history, Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, and British F4 will all feature at Silverstone on the same weekend – with McLaughlin and his fellow F4 drivers sharing the circuit with the sport’s elite and racing in front of tens of thousands at the track and millions more watching from home.
Irish fans will have their first opportunity to watch McLaughlin on TV, with both of his races airing live on Sky Sports:
British F4 Race Schedule (Sky Sports Broadcast)
Competing in his debut British F4 season, McLaughlin has already made a major impression on the grid. He claimed his maiden race win at Snetterton earlier this year and currently leads the British F4 Championship and Rookie Cup standings, showcasing the pace and composure that saw him selected for the Red Bull Junior Driver Team in 2024.
The Magherafelt native joins a new generation of Irish talent making waves in international motorsport – following closely behind Alex Dunne, who made headlines last weekend after stepping into an F1 car for the very first time.
McLaughlin was selected for the Red Bull Junior Team following a standout performance at the Red Bull Driver Search in Jerez, Spain – the same programme that has launched the careers of Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel, Carlos Sainz and Daniel Ricciardo.
Both of this weekend’s races will also be streamed live on the official British F4 YouTube channel.
