Chloe MacCombe and Aoibh Clarke
County Derry’s Chloe MacCombe is set to compete in Mersey Bluff, Australia, this weekend in the 2025 World Triathlon Para Series Davenport.
MacCombe is looking to build off her win last time out in Abu Dhabi at the first race of the series with another gold medal in Tasmania.
This weekend, the Claudy paralympian and her guide, Aoibh Clarke, will be actively participating in the PTVI category.
In Abu Dhabi, the duo delivered a stellar performance, leading from the swim and extending their advantage through the bike and run to secure gold in 1:10:11. This marked a strong start to their season and an exciting first triathlon partnership for Aoibh.
The event will be a showcase of Para Triathlon talent, featuring Paralympic champions, world champions, and emerging stars all competing for early-season dominance. With just over 30 of the world’s best para-triathletes set to race, Devonport promises an exciting battle for glory.
The Devonport Triathlon Festival is one of Australia’s most iconic triathlon events, celebrating 40 years in 2025. First held in 1985, the event has grown from a local race into a prestigious international competition, attracting some of the world's best triathletes.

The festival not only showcases elite racing but also brings together para triathletes, age-group competitors, and junior athletes, creating a true celebration of triathlon.
This year’s milestone edition will feature the opening race of the 2025 World Triathlon Para Series, alongside the Elite Men’s and Women’s Oceania Championships, ensuring a thrilling weekend of world-class racing on Tasmania’s stunning North West Coast.
The race is live on TriathlonLive.tv, with it starting at 2:30AM (Irish Time) on March 14.
