Kerry and Derry drawn against each other in All Ireland quarterfinal PIC: Sportsfile
Derry will face Kerry in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship quarterfinal.
The Munster champions are the reward for Mickey Harte’s side after a nail-biting victory over Mayo at the weekend on penalties.
The Oak Leafers will take huge confidence from this victory ahead of their match with Kerry after struggling to that point in the All Ireland championship.
In a repeat of the All Ireland semi-final last year, Derry will be looking to come out with a victory this time around.
While Harte’s men can look to their opening victory in their Division 1 National League campaign against Kerry as a blueprint to earn a win.
Meanwhile, Dublin will face Galway, Roscommon play Armagh, and Louth play Donegal in the other three quarterfinal fixtures.
Derry and Kerry will be the last of the four quarterfinals to be thrown in, with the pair squaring off at 3:15pm on Sunday June 30.
It will be part of a double header with the earlier game at 1:15pm between Louth and Donegal.
The Saturday double header will see Armagh play Roscommon at 4pm and Dublin play Galway at 6.15pm.
