The Mayor of Derry and Strabane, Councillor Patricia Logue hosted a reception for City of Derry ASC coach Carmel Gorman, to mark over 50 years of dedication to local swimming club. In the past year Carmel was also awarded the Swim Ireland Presidential Award for her outstanding service to swimming in Ireland and the Swim Ulster Club Volunteer of the Year Award. Mayor Patricia Logue presented Carmel with a civic gift at a reception in the Guildhall.
