Fundraising has begun to help a County Derry athlete reach Paris and the Paralympic Games.
Dearbhaile Brady will represent Ireland in the swimming at Paris in the final week of August and the first week of September.
The Feeny teenager was named in the team after she had won bronze at the European Championships.
However, a Facebook page has been created to help the future Paralympian reach Paris.
Over the weekend, a page was created to inform people about a number of fundraising efforts.
The post said: “This is an amazing achievement for anyone, let alone a teenager who gives her heart and soul every time she dives into a swimming pool, but it also comes at a cost!
“For this reason, you'll soon see fundraising posters and raffle tickets for sale in the local shops and bars, and we hope you can give what you can spare!
“Keep your eyes peeled on this page for all the latest fundraising updates, including some fabulous raffle prizes to be won!, as well as details of a fun-filled night of music and dancing to come!”
Brady swims from the Limavady Swim Club, but she will be looking to change her surroundings to Seine-Saint-Denis, located in the Grand Paris metropolis.
