Police in Belfast attacked with petrol and paint bombs

Police have been attacked with petrol and paint bombs in Belfast.

The PSNI has urged the public to avoid the Broadway Roundabout area in the south of the city.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are asking members of the public to avoid the Broadway Roundabout area of south Belfast this evening, Monday July 15, as they attend reports of ongoing disorder in the area.

“Petrol and paint bombs have been thrown at officers and police vehicles.

“We would urge the public to avoid the area.”
