Ulster have called two City of Derry players up to their underage development squads.

Ava Boyle and Rebecca Cunning have been chosen to become part of the under-18 and under-16 Ulster development squads, respectively.

Boyle was captain of the City of Derry women’s under-16 squad last season, demonstrating her future as a leading figure for sides on the pitch.

The club are not surprised about Ulster’s decision to call her to become part of the development set up as she constantly demonstrates her ‘strength and speed’.

The club are also proud of Cunning earning her call up to Ulster, despite her being ‘one of our youngest’ in their under-16 squad.

The teenager has a strong level of commitment and determination, which has seen her earn this honour, with Cunning always happy to accept any challenge, with the result usually being one seeing her excel.
