Irish Rail has alerted passengers that a number of its services will operate at a reduced capacity over the coming days.
The national train carrier confirmed that the following services will operate with reduced capacity starting from today's 15:30 Heuston-Limerick service.
On Thursday 29th February the 06:40 Limerick-Heuston; the 14:45 Heuston-Westport and the18:25 Westport-Heuston services will be affected.
On Friday, 1st March the 06:32 Heuston-Newbridge; 09:43 Hazelhatch-Heuston and 15:30 Heuston-Limerick train services will have reduced capacity.
The changes were confirmed on social media.
When Irish Rail was questioned as to the reason for the reduced capacity, it replied: "This is due to an operational issue, which has changed the formation of the services".
