Translink has introduced two additional coach services on its 212 Goldline route between Derry and Belfast. A new early morning 4.15am departure, arriving in Belfast at 5.55am, and a 9.15am service, arriving in Belfast at 11.05am, are now available for passengers. Customers are also advised that the 6.15am service will now depart Dungiven at 6.45am arriving in Belfast at 8.25am. Departures from Belfast Europa Buscentre will include a 9.00am and 9.30am service instead of the previous 9.15am departure. The announcement follows an investment in 12 new Translink Goldline double-decker coaches used primarily on the 212 service which carries over 800,000 passengers every year. Translink Northern Area Manager Simon Corrigan said the additional services were “good news” for the company’s customers. He added: “We continually review our services and identified demand for the 4.15am and 9.15am departures particularly from people with flexible work patterns. “We hope they find this development helpful in meeting the demands of their daily routines. “The new services reflect our commitment to investing in Goldline which has seen a 53% increase in passengers across Northern Ireland over the past decade. “Customers enjoy the free Wi-Fi, comfortable leather seating, accessible, spacious and modern interiors, automatic climate control which provide a more relaxed journey. “The latest new coaches provide seat charging points which are ideal for anyone using a mobile device. “We’re also encouraging our customers to choose Smartlink for cheaper journeys and savings of over 30% compared to cash fares – a 10 journey travelcard for travel between Foyle and Belfast is £64.”
