Plans lodged for major revamp of 112 year old listed Derry building

Derry City and Strabane District Council is considering a planning application for a major revamp of a landmark building on the Ebrington site in the Waterside area of the city. Plans to refurbish Building 104 (pictured) have also been lodged with the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFDFM) which took over temporary ownership of the site after local urban regeneration company Ilex was wound up at the end of March this year. The application is seeking to add a two-storey extension to the purpose-built accommodation block built between 1895 and 1904.
